Event Description

In the first day talk by Dr. Madhu Jain, from IIT Roorkee, she delivered a lecture on Fault Tolerance in System Modelling. She introduced some basic to complex models in Stochastic and Markov models and gave brief description in real time applications. The next talk was of Stochastic Modelling on the Internet of Things” by Prof. Srinivas R. Chakravarthy Kettering University, USA. He explained the Discrete MAP and BMAP models and their applications in the Internet of things.

The second day of the workshop started with “Vectorized Categorization and Prediction” by Prof. Nita Shah, Gujrat University, Ahmedabad. Her talk focused on the current scenario on the pandemic situation. She Explained some of the technical ideas for vectorized categorization and prediction detection. The second talk “Firefly algorithm and implementation” was given by Dr. Harish Garg, Thapar University, Patiala. He explained soft computing technology with real life examples. It’s inspired by nature and is used to solve mathematical problems.

The third day of the workshop focused on the “Latest developments in Queuing theory with customer impatience” talk by Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Namibia University of Science and Technology. He presented various modelling parameters in queueing. Second talk by Prof. Joydip Dhar, ABV-IIITM Gwalior on “Mathematical modelling and system simulation of ecological”. He also explained different types of ecological model which one of the latest models is pest control modelling.

On the fourth day of the workshop, the first talk was given by Dr. Rajinder Sharma Department of Mathematics University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Suhar, Oman on “Modelling COVID19 Pandemic scenario and lessons to learn”. He explained about the precautions and prevention to the COVID-19 pandemic. Second talk by Prof. Kriti Priya Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, NOIDA delivered on “Decision making through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)”. She gave the participants some hands-on to practice of the Hierarchy technique.

The fifth day of the workshop started with “Pycaret: Automated machine learning library for regression, classification and clustering” by Dr. Prashant Singh Rana, Thapar University, Patiala. He explained in detail about the new online technology Pycaret. He talked about regression analysis by taking some examples on the data set.

The latest research in the system modelling and artificial intelligence was discussed in the workshop and at the end of the workshop the participants gave positive feedback about the workshop and appreciated the talks given by speakers.

In this  workshop 108 participants registered with a fee Rs. 100/. And all the attendees were awarded with  e-certificate.

The event was successful with cooperation and motivation from Dean, Faculty of Science Prof. Anoop Kumar Mukhopadhyay, Prof Lalitha Ledwani Director School of Basic Sciences, Prof. Kalpna Sharma Head, Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
